From the meeting
On August 25, 2026 the board discussed a proposal from Berggren Architects for Washington County Courthouse restoration projects. The county said the work could qualify for Nebraska Historic Tax Credits equal to 30% of eligible expenditures. Berggren would do research and discovery, set a financial schedule, develop plans and specifications, negotiate construction agreements, and administer construction contracts.
The committee was asked to review it further and bring it back at the next meeting.
