THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
Clarke County will decide whether to participate in planning and development programs of the Southern Iowa Council of Governments (SICOG). This would connect the county to regional support for grants, transportation, housing, and infrastructure planning. Consultants and engineering, planning, and grant-writing firms should track this because SICOG participation often leads to multi-jurisdictional projects that require specialized design, studies, and implementation services.
SICOG membership typically supports CDBG, transportation, and other grant-funded projects that then generate RFPs for design and construction.
