From the meeting
At the September 29, 2026 Commission meeting, ICTC reported it had been selected by Caltrans under the Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant to complete the Imperial County Comprehensive Strategic Transit Oriented Development Plan. The plan will evaluate transit-oriented development opportunities near transit centers in Brawley, Calexico, El Centro, and Imperial, and identify alternative sites and design concepts for new transit centers in Calipatria, Holtville, Seeley, and Westmorland. Staff said they were finalizing the project scope with Caltrans and intended to proceed with consulting procurement before the end of 2026.
