From the meeting
At the October 5, 2026 meeting, Coach Nick Metropolaus presented a concept to partner with the city and use the former library space as an esports center and maker space for area youth. Mayor Dimmitt said the board had not yet discussed the desired plan and did not have enough information to proceed. He also noted a planned meeting with the Mayor of Florissant regarding Fusion 314 for more information.
This is an early-stage reuse concept with no selection or procurement yet.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
When will City of Brentwood issue an RFP for this project?
Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks City of Brentwood's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
How can vendors engage with City of Brentwood before the RFP is published?
