From the meeting
At the October 20, 2026 TAG meeting, the Bay Area Air District presented the Bay Area Regional Climate Action Plan (BARCAP), funded by the US EPA. The plan includes 16 measures and 57 actions across transportation, buildings, electricity generation, waste/materials management, and agriculture/working lands, with more than 35 implementers. StopWaste is the lead for some materials actions, including edible food/organics recovery and low embodied carbon building materials.
The work is in implementation, and the next discussion is about roles, funding sources, and coordination.
