From the meeting
At the October 20, 2026 board meeting, La Vega ISD was scheduled to consider visitor bleacher replacement at the stadium. The current bleachers are more than 40 years old and do not meet current ADA standards; the new set would raise visitor capacity from 1,150 to 1,500. Todd Gooden said the district was securing bids for demolition, surveying, concrete footing and flatwork, and testing, while Southern Bleachers provided the base proposal.
The board vote on October 20, 2026 was the next decision point.
