From the meeting

At the October 13, 2026 meeting, the City Commission approved submission of a matching grant application for the 2027-2028 Florida Recreational Development Assistance Program cycle for Dan Witt Park playground improvements. Recreation Director Becky Word said the prior FRDAP application for the park had been accepted, but the Legislature did not fund FRDAP in the 2025 session. The new application seeks $175,000 and requires a $175,000 local match.

Existing playground equipment will be replaced and a new shade canopy added for the tot lot. Approved.
