From the meeting
At the July 21, 2026 workshop, council kept the approved Public Works building layout and asked staff to move forward with design, including concrete tilt walls. Staff was also told to compile cost estimates and funding options, and the packet later listed the Public Works building as part of the capital funding package. This is still planning work, but it clearly points to a future construction buy.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
