From the meeting
At the August 18, 2026 meeting, the board discussed the pool construction project and Town Supervisor Judith Hall said Attorney David Miller strongly recommended hiring an engineer. Hall made a motion to hire an independent engineer, but it received no second. Councilmember Johnson later moved to obtain quotes from engineering firms and hold a special meeting to review them, and that motion was withdrawn before the board instead approved a letter to get the project back on track.
The work is still unresolved and engineering support remains a live need.
