From the meeting
At the August 10, 2026 meeting, citizens and staff discussed a $75,000 baseball field renovation at Felts Park. The work includes re-grading the infield, rebuilding the pitcher's mound, new backstop poles and netting, and protection from vehicular traffic during the Fiddlers Convention. Staff said the field has been surveyed and quotes are being gathered, so the project is still being shaped.

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
