At its September 8, 2026 planning session, the Board heard staff's recommendation to authorize an easement agreement with DuPage County for the Army Trail Road Bridge Re-Construction Project - Hawk Hollow & West Branch and agreed to bring it back to the next Commission meeting for approval. DuPage County was rebuilding the Army Trail bridge over the West Branch DuPage River and adding a new trail on the north side of Army Trail Road. Temporary and permanent easements were required, and staff supported reducing tree fees by half in exchange for a lower permit fee on the District's new Natural Resources building on Mack Road.
