At its September 8, 2026 meeting, Chris Mullins said the AFID grant application opens on September 14 and that the Farmers Market is an eligible project for up to $50,000. He said the town would prepare the application for council approval at the next meeting. The funding has a required match, which could be one-to-one, two-to-one in a distressed area, or none.

Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
