From the meeting
At its September 30, 2026 meeting, the Board discussed the partnership with Relay Graduate School to support special education teachers in earning certification. Ms. Ovalles said DPNY had an existing tuition reimbursement budget that had been underutilized and that the program would largely repurpose that funding.
She estimated about 60 special education teachers in the network and said supporting about 20 teachers this year would be significant progress. The partnership also included AmeriCorps grant support. Discussion only; no formal action was recorded.
