From the meeting
At its September 29, 2026 meeting, the commission said Brad Lackey would draft a new mowing contract because the current 3-year contract will expire this year. The committee wants a 2-year term and more specific requirements for mowing, trimming, cleanup, roadside and hill work at Jacksonville Cemetery, and brushhogging at Cutting Cemetery. Extra fall and spring cleanup will still be billed separately.
The new contract is expected to be posted by the beginning of November and decided on by early to mid December.
