From the meeting
At its September 28, 2026 meeting, the county heard that Public Works Director Dave Dodds applied for and received OHV grant funding to restore the road in Proctor Canyon. He also worked with Chris Wehrli to use available funding toward the required match. The county now has a funded road restoration project and additional grant pursuit for seasonal trail work next summer, plus a grader grant already received.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
When will Garfield County issue an RFP for this project?
Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks Garfield County's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
How can vendors engage with Garfield County before the RFP is published?
Vendors who reach out during the planning window can help shape requirements and build relationships with the decision-makers running the project. A free Civic IQ account unlocks this pre-RFP's source document, forecasted RFP timing, and verified Garfield County decision-maker contacts.
