From the meeting
At its September 18 meeting the board discussed moving the Walnut Creek Watershed Management Authority into implementation mode after DNR planning grant funding. Iowa Ag Water Alliance said it is applying for a grant due November 10 and wants to include Walnut Creek WMA work. MPO staff will develop funding models, and the board expects ongoing local funding for monitoring and outreach plus capital projects paid by jurisdictions and/or grants.
