From the meeting
At its October 5, 2026 meeting, the council approved $33,569 for engineering services from Hofstadter & Associates for the proposed Sharp Street Sewer Main Extension. Utilities Director Mike Batchelor said the earlier $65,303 DPC Services extension could not proceed because easements between private properties could not be secured, so the scope changed to an alternate route through the state highway. The prior project would be canceled and the funds redirected to initial engineering.
The work is funded through 2020 SPLOST.

Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
