From the meeting

At its October 29, 2026 meeting, the board approved a resolution adopting the Multnomah County fleet decarbonization strategy as amended. The board also adopted interim targets of a 50% reduction from 2007 levels by 2035 and 75% by 2040, and added language supporting skilled local workforce and apprenticeship requirements for EV charging infrastructure work. Staff said the county had not yet had a formal or informal fleet decarbonization plan and would charter an internal task force and report progress in future resource conservation reports.
