From the meeting

At its October 27, 2026 meeting staff updated the council on the Bear Over There public art program. The concept was folded into the FY 2027 strategic plan and budget, with an existing $50,000 RDA budget and an estimated $35,000 for three sculptures. Staff had already contacted fabricators, including a local Hurricane option that could do 3D digital design and foam sculptures coated in fiberglass.

The next step was committee input on design and sponsorship policy.
