From the meeting
At its October 22, 2026 meeting, the Town Council tabled discussion of the repair of the Souhegan River access at Watson Park until additional information was brought forward. Town Manager Paul Micali said he had directed DPW to remake and install a warning sign, install fencing, and add two 'Enter at your own risk' signs. He also said a structural engineer would inspect the old tannery structure and advise on the best method to bring it down.
A simple wooden railing on the steep slope was also proposed, but the council delayed the decision. The motion to table carried 7-0-0.
