From the meeting
At its October 20, 2026 meeting the council approved a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding agreement with Kern County for the Rodriguez Park multi-purpose field and retention basin improvements project. The council also authorized creation of a capital improvement program project for the work. This is a grant-funded park build that can still generate design, engineering, civil, and construction needs as the city moves to implementation.
The record does not state the grant amount.
