From the meeting
At its October 20, 2026 meeting the Common Council approved R-26-66 to end the City's relationship with Flock Safety and require guardrails before any future automatic license plate reader use. The resolution directed the City and Police Department to take steps to terminate the Flock contract, suspend using Flock cameras and databases, and have Flock remove its ALPR hardware within two weeks or be invoiced for removal and storage. The minutes also say no other ALPR provider may be contracted with until a public hearing and guardrails are adopted.
Decision state: approved.
