At its October 19, 2026 meeting, the city said Phase 1 of the 2026 Main and Central Street Reconstruction was mostly complete and Phase 2 was continuing east of Prairie Lumber Company to Highway 16. Remaining work included hydromulching, chip seal, pavement striping, and punchlist items. The engineer said chip seal and striping would move to spring 2027 when temperatures allow.
