From the meeting
At its October 15, 2026 meeting, the committee discussed Capital Project WC 027602, Investing in Justice Courthouse Complex: Courthouse Complex Owner Construction, with no action taken. The project was only being reviewed inside the 2027 Recommended Budget, so the work was still pre-award and could change during budget amendments. This is a lead for courthouse construction management, owner representation, and related buildout services.
The county's budget schedule will determine whether it advances.

What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.

Pre-RFPs typically surface 6–18 months before a formal solicitation is published. Civic IQ tracks Milwaukee County's meeting records, agendas, and budgets continuously and updates this pre-RFP as the project moves through the buying cycle toward an RFP.
How can vendors engage with Milwaukee County before the RFP is published?
Vendors who reach out during the planning window can help shape requirements and build relationships with the decision-makers running the project. A free Civic IQ account unlocks this pre-RFP's source document, forecasted RFP timing, and verified Milwaukee County decision-maker contacts.
