From the meeting
At its October 14, 2026 meeting, the council formed Community Facilities District No. 2026-1 for Tract No. 6289 (Macias Subdivision) and introduced Ordinance No.
410 to levy the special tax. The district was described as the city's first CFD and was created to fund future maintenance and improvements such as parkway landscaping, landscape water and electrical utilities, street lighting, street pavement maintenance, sidewalks, curbs, signage, striping, storm drains, local parks, graffiti abatement, and CFD administration. The annual cost was estimated at about $21,000, with per-unit and per-acre tax rates listed in the staff report.
The ordinance took effect 30 days after adoption and the first levy was to begin in Fiscal Year 2027-28.
