From the meeting
At its October 12, 2026 meeting, Mayor Adams reported that the city did not receive any bids for the Clay Street sidewalk project. He said bidders and disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) subcontractors had to be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) and the general contractor also had to be prequalified in grade and drain, bridges, and sidewalks. He said he would contact the state to discuss how to proceed.
The procurement remains open after the failed bid round.
