From the meeting
At its November 5, 2026 meeting, the Sound Transit Board adopted the 2027 State Legislative Agenda and directed staff to advance its priorities. The agenda calls for support for ST3 delivery, 75-year TIFIA financing, transit construction permitting reform, copper wire theft legislation, workforce programs, transit-oriented development, and modernized contracting methods. The board also sought protection of state transit funding and opposition to bills that would raise costs or impair delivery.
This was adopted to guide advocacy for the 2027 legislative session beginning January 11, 2027.
