From the meeting

At its November 3, 2026 meeting, the council adopted Ordinance 26-35 and added fee language for third-party architectural, engineering, floodplain, stormwater, geotechnical, and survey reviews. The ordinance allows the city to recover consultant review and inspection costs from applicants on development and building projects. Staff said this change was intended to pass outside expert costs to applicants so taxpayers would not subsidize private development.

The new fee schedule takes effect on January 1, 2027.
