From the meeting

At its November 10, 2026 public hearing, the City Council was scheduled to consider adoption of the Comprehensive General Plan Update and Climate Action Plan (CAP), plus certification of the Program Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The update would revise all General Plan elements except Housing, add a new Health and Equity Element, and incorporate healthy communities strategies. The CAP update, originally adopted in 2013, would add actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and address climate change.

The Planning Commission had recommended approval on October 6, 2026.

Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
