From the meeting
At its August 5, 2026 meeting, KFRTI said staff would attend the 2026 North American Fire Training Directors (NAFTD) Conference in Baton Rouge to learn conference operations before hosting the 2027 NAFTD Conference in Lawrence. That creates a future event-planning and logistics need tied to a named 2027 host role. The commercial signal is in venue, event support, travel, and conference operations planning for the Lawrence event.
