From the meeting

At its August 27, 2026 public meeting, CCRMA presented the proposed Outer Parkway project from I-69E/US 77 to FM 106/General Brant Road in Cameron County. The project is a new four-lane divided highway, about 22 miles long, with Phase I interim design and Phase II ultimate design that adds frontage roads where justified. The notice said the project could require additional right of way, could displace residential and non-residential structures, and would involve wetlands and a floodplain action.

Public comments were requested through September 14, 2026.
