From the meeting

At its August 26, 2026 meeting the board approved the 2026-2027 District-Wide Safety Plan unanimously. Josh Altamirano said the plan must be updated every summer and the revised version adds Alyssa's Law silent panic alarms and Peter's Law sudden cardiac arrest requirements. The school had a public comment period from July 25 to August 24 and a public hearing on August 19.

The plan had to be filed by the September 1 New York State Education Department deadline.
