From the meeting
At its August 19, 2026 meeting the board approved allocating up to $75,000 from SAVE toward playground improvements at Locust Grove Park. The district said the money will be used as matching funds with the City of Morning Sun's $50,000 commitment to pursue outside grant funding. This is a live funding signal for a park/playground project, with the next step being grant application work.
