From the meeting
At its August 17, 2026 meeting, the council heard Resolution 26-15 from Eagles Secretary Danielle Wilson for Hotel/Motel Tax support tied to the Eagles' long-term vision. The application included a reader board, computer/payment system, fairgrounds freezers, a steamer table upgrade, bands and entertainment, activities, a new A/C unit, and food for fair. The council said several items did not meet eligibility rules and asked the applicant to revise and resubmit with qualifying tourism-related items.
