Chinook Ona Illahee Acquisition Funded via NOAA Grant

DLCD has obtained a $1,813,055 NOAA Bipartisan Infrastructure Law habitat protection grant for the Chinook Ona Illahee project in the Yaquina River estuary and will pass the funding to the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians to acquire a 315-acre property. The project will protect critical coastal habitat through tribal-led land acquisition.
