Maritime Helicopters to Provide Akutan Essential Air Service

Aleutians East Borough will participate in a three-year Essential Air Service contract under which Grant Aviation and Maritime Helicopters jointly serve Akutan from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2029. The Borough will pay Maritime Helicopters and its partner over $3.2 million across the term, and is finalizing a separate Helicopter Services Agreement with Maritime.
