YCFCWCD is considering a pilot agreement with GenH for a 20–50 kW in-canal hydropower project on the Upper West Adams Canal, under which GenH would fully fund installation and operations and pay the District a licensing fee. The initiative is targeted to begin as soon as 2026, pending agreement on licensing terms and a Temporary License and Access Agreement.
