The Town replaced half of the valves last year. The other half is scheduled for this year, it was a big expense. The project will be about a quarter million dollars whenever everything gets said and done. Last year, Howland funded 71% and Enfield funded 29% of their portion. This year Enfield and Howland got a grant coverage $130,000, which the funds will cover most of that. We were one of the few towns that actually got some funding. If the town applied alone was intitled up to $75,000 but teaming up together we were able to apply for $175,000. The project was only $130,000. Both towns are happy with the funding, saved each town a bunch of money.
