Austin Energy has placed on the Council agenda a proposed contract with Jupiter Power for up to 100 MW of utility-scale battery storage, expected to enter commercial operation by late 2026. The project would be located in Austin Energy’s service territory and support the utility’s 2035 carbon-free goals and local resilience.
