From the meeting
The Town Manager reported that seven interviews for the Public Works Director position had been held and that a list of three candidates was now in his hands for next steps. This is not a procurement by itself, but it is a meaningful buying trigger because the new director will influence public works planning, capital priorities, and future field and infrastructure work. The role is still open as of the October 13, 2026 update.
Sellers should watch for the incoming director's first budget and project priorities.

A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
