From the meeting
The September 28, 2026 agenda scheduled action to submit the FY 2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application to Butler County by November 2, 2026. The grant would fund sidewalks on both sides of Donald Drive and a small section on North Gilmore Road, with an estimated project cost of $211,872 and about $135,100 in grant funding. The city said the sidewalks would close gaps in the route system and support safe access for students and nearby businesses.
This is still a funding-and-approval lead, not an awarded project.

Questions about this project
What is a pre-RFP?
A pre-RFP is an early indicator that a government agency is planning a purchase — a project discussed in a board meeting, a budget line item, a new hire, or a grant award — captured before a formal RFP or bid is published. Acting on pre-RFPs gives SLED and B2G vendors months of lead time to build relationships and shape requirements.
