From the meeting
The Planning Board recommended adoption of the Beverly Heights and Western Heights Small Area Plan. The plan updated the 2004 Old Wilkesboro Road Small Area Plan and called for sidewalk or greenway links to Gregory Creek Greenway and McClure Park, a streetscape plan for Highway 115, playground equipment, and renovations to McClure Park bathrooms, parking lot, and picnic shelters. The study was led by summer planning intern Maggie Martin and discussed community concerns about traffic, safety, and development compatibility.
Decision state: recommended.
