From the meeting
The fire chief reported hiring a part-time firefighter and said the department still had an ongoing part-time firefighter application process and a full-time engineer application process for open positions. This is primarily a staffing signal, but it can affect vehicle, equipment, training, and overtime needs if the vacancies persist. The chief was still recruiting to fill both roles.
