THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
The district plans to restructure Building Trades 2 from a single 2.0-credit blocked course into two separate 1.0-credit courses, Building Trades 2 and a new Building Trades 3. Building Trades 3 is expected to first run in 2027-2028 to deepen skill development and better align with career pathways and Strategic Plan Priority #1: Future Ready. This change points to future needs for updated CTE curriculum, tools, safety equipment, and potentially industry partnerships or work-based learning supports.
Restructure aims to create a more comprehensive program for deeper learning and skill development in trades.
