From the meeting
The Curriculum Committee reviewed new Associate in Science and Certificate of Achievement programs in Barbering. The program is described as preparing students for the California State Board licensing examination and using lectures and hands-on training at the SBCC Cosmetology Academy. This is a curriculum development signal, not a purchase, but it can indicate future equipment, training, or facility needs tied to the new program.
The item was scheduled for the October 19, 2026 agenda and no award is stated.
