THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
The County Engineer is seeking Commission approval of a resolution to improve the intersection and add a traffic signal at Lee Road 230 and Lee Road 240, covering about 0.165 miles. After approval, the Highway Department will initiate the project through the Columbus-Phenix City MPO with an 80/20 funding split, 80% MPO and 20% Lee County. This is an early-stage transportation capital project where design, signal equipment, civil construction, and possibly engineering consulting will be needed once programming and agreements are in place.
Project ID listed as LCP 41-230-26; Commission District 3; will apply for Federal Aid via MPO.
