From the meeting
The council was scheduled to accept $278,182 from FEMA's FY 2025 Assistance to Firefighters Grant and add a $27,819 local match for a $306,001 hazmat technician training project. The funds would train 18 firefighters and cover overtime, backfill, and a qualified contractor. This is a concrete grant-funded training implementation with an immediate vendor/service need.
