From the meeting
The council agenda scheduled a resolution to identify funding needs for the 2050 comprehensive plan update and authorize a Metropolitan Council planning assistance grant application. The city said the plan update is estimated at $160,000 for core chapters, with utility chapters estimated separately at $135,000 for sanitary sewer, $25,000 for water, and $20,000 for storm water. The grant would offset general-fund levy costs and the work is planned for 2027 with statutory deadlines in 2028.
