From the meeting
The Canal Replacement Project Segment 5A was being completed under a Design and Construction agreement executed in April 2024 between CCWD and the City of Oakley. Oakley was responsible for designing and constructing the last remaining unlined section of the Canal, including 635 feet of pipeline under East Cypress Road. The first phase returned to service in September 2025 and the second phase returned to service in September 2026.
Final completion, including fencing and access roads, was anticipated in early 2027, and CCWD was to make a $2,200,000 payment upon completion and acceptance.
