From the meeting
The board was asked to approve an application for the Nevada Department of Education School Psychologist Services Grant funded by federal School-Based Mental Health Services. The grant would run from September 2026 through December 31, 2029 and could provide about $580,000 in the initial period, with later continuation funding subject to federal approval and performance. If awarded, the school could recruit or contract for credentialed school psychologists and related mental health supports.
The current decision is to apply and, if awarded, accept and administer the grant.
